| There is
something satisfying about home-brewing replicas of radios that appeared
50 to 80 years ago as do-it-yourself projects. It's the hunt for obsolete
knobs, dials and other parts, the reading, the planning, the enjoyable
hours at the bench, getting the dang thing to work, and even admiring it
on the shelf for years to come.
Most projects you'll see here are receivers, and of those the majority
are regeneratives. But there are superhets, too, as well as receiver
adjuncts and even a home-brewed stereo amp. And, of course, everything is
done with vacuum tubes.
