The ultimate Bubblegum Super Group anthology (well, with 17 songs, it qualifies) that offers all the fabricated hits as well as a couple from the real group. Think of this as The Beatles Red and Blue albums put together on one CD! There's all the hits (Except Beg, Borrow, and Steal; I assume rights for songs off the first album could not be secured) plus some songs that don't show up on other CD compilations including Peanuts, Roll It Up, Cowboy Convention and The Race. Just having Sausalito (Is The Place To Go) -- one of my favorite Bubblegum songs -- available on CD made this a must for me. The only complaint is the lack of real liner notes. Play "Guess-The-Singer" with this CD and you'll see what I mean. The lack of songwriting credits is frustrating as well. Click on the links to each highlighted song for this information. (I added The Race information above as it is a rare B-Side instrumental.)
