Judging by this set, the Knights were stuck in that Lemon Piper-like limbo between wanting to be a top notch rock group and having no real direction. Shake by the Ohio Express is Bubblegum at its best, the same song by Shadows Of Knight is a minor garage-band single. The only songs of Bubblegum interest here are the two Joey Levine songs (Follow and Alone) and the underrated classic, Run Run Billy Porter. Even upon first listen, it went directly to my all-time top ten list. Yep, it's that good. I've played it at work and my co-workers didn't threaten to kill me so much. Listen to this song then listen to Beck and it will all become clear. Warning: There's an 11 song version of this CD with only the first 11 songs. Look for the full 15-song set with Run Run Billy Porter, the ultra suggestive (but I'm not sure how; it'll have to be explained to me!) My Fire Department Needs A Fireman and From Way Out To Way Under, the instrumental version of the Ohio Express song Into This Time. (Extra cool because you can Bubblegum K&Karaoke to it!!!)

This is the shortened version, not the one I review.
