Why and Who

Why you need an inspection?

Buying a house may be the largest investment in your life and an inspection costs a small fraction of 1% of that investment. All of the involved parties (city inspectors, bank inspectors, appraisers, realtor, your friends, etc.) will not accumulatively spend the time in this house that a private building inspector will (a minimum of 2 1/2 hours).

Who will be there?

Not only will your inspector, Mitch Kuffa, be there, but we especially encourage you (our client) to be present at the time of the inspection. It is a wonderful learning experience, and you will find out things about the house that many times the past residents did not even know. You will look into holes, cavities, and crevices like never before. It is a time for discussion and a time to answer all your questions. We will also talk about procedures and approximate replacement costs if necessary. The "detective work" can be very interesting.
