Hello there, I am saddened by your loss. I myself am touched by this story as I also have CF and 3 months last Thursday I received a living donor double lung transplant in pittsburgh, PA. I can absolutely relate to how Nicole felt in every way. I am 29, and I am doing well, yet I still get scared. Always know as I told my parents before my surgery, that no matter what Nicole will always be with you. My parents call me a miracle, which I haven't excepted yet, but Nicole is more of a miracle, because reading this letter and you both being such great parents to her, shows she was quite a miracle here on earth.

To: Bob, Sue and Heather; Like everyone else, Deb and I were extremely moved by this tribute to Nicole. You did a wonderful job with this web site. The pictures and the story you told were very touching. Your devotion to Nicole and your love come through this very special tribute. Deb has told me many times how she felt you were like a brother she never had and how Nicole was like a daughter she never had. We both think of her every day, how her smile made you feel even when she was in the hospital. She never did complain no matter how difficult things were for her. Without a doubt, she went through more than anyone her age should have to endure. Her courage was enormous. We will always remember her at the Fourth of July parties. Most of the time she would be coming right from the hospital and still would jump right in and play ball with the kids.
Nicole was a very special little girl who touched the hearts of everyone she met. From the care she got at MGH to the support she got from the CF foundation and to the special people at the Make a Wish Foundation who sponsored your trip to Disney we want to say thank you for taking care of a very special little girl. To Bob, Sue and Heather words cannot say enough for how Deb and I feel about you. Your love, comfort and devotion to Nicole are without description and are an inspiration. We all miss Nicole very much and this moving tribute will be here as a reminder of her spirit. hello, i wasn't really close friends to nicole but we did wait outside for the bell to ring in the morning and we ate lunch together, like you said she was always happy. whenever we ate lunch she was very quiet but if you started a conversation with her she was very nice and friendly i just wish i had a chance to get to know her. i moved in december of 2000 and then i read in the obituaries of the news paper later on at the end of the school year and it was a really big shock to see her in there, i was really sad. but atleast she doesn't have to go through all the surgeries and hospital visits any more.

Your website is great. Nicole must have touched alot of lives. I, too, lost a daughter to Cystic Fibrosis. My youngest daughter, Shelby, died 4 years ago. She was 5 years old. I know we miss our daughters, but they gave us so much, even if it was for a short time. Best wishes and God Bless!
