Your child will study in a warm, supportive atmosphere while building a stronger body, stronger values, and having fun! We offer classes that fit into your hectic schedule, and a curriculum that will help your child be more successful.

At the Brockton Uechi-ryu Karate Academy Inc, we believe your child should get more out of his or her martial arts training than just learning how to punch and kick.  While the student learns to punch and kick, we use our new SMART SHIELD to help with the recognition of letters and numbers. Each SMART SHIELD has 5 letters A through E or numbers 1 through 5 that are color coded and can be knocked out of the shield. Instructors call out a letter of number and the student punches or kicks the letter or number out of the shield. Many variations and combinations can be used to help the child recognize numbers, letters and even colors. We use more complex instructions when they learn to add or spell. 
Our Personal Life Skills Program incorporates An Extensive Character Development Program as the character building tool to reinforce the same values that you teach your children at home. Our rewards system enhances your child's self esteem. The second part of our life skills training is a Children's Personal Safety program using Awareness and Karate Skills to be able to stand up to verbal and physical bullying. Your child will learn General Safety Awareness which will largely eliminate the danger associated with being surprised by attackers. By combining personal development, self defense, and physical fitness, karate develops your child's mind, body, and spirit.

• 30 minute classes for toddlers ages 3-5
• 3 Classes a week to choose from, evenings, and Saturday
• Child may make up classes if child misses a regularly scheduled evening or Saturday class.

• Personal Life Skills program with real self defense and safety awareness skills
