Remove the two clips holding the lower dashboard facia. Press the button in with a punch (or a screwdriver), then pull the whole clip out. There is one on the opposite (passenger) side in the same position. Tugging on the grey plastic is a good way to remove the clip after it is pressed in. Pop the button out in order to re-install it.
