Councilman Burcroff’s goals for
community growth:
“We have a
tremendous opportunity to shape the future of our city.
Romulus is
unique in that we still have undeveloped land. I am excited about
contributing
my efforts to ensure that our visions come true.”

Councilman Burcroff’s goals are:

Continue to improve city services
"I
support the expansion of our (full-time) fire department while
maintaining the paid on-call (part-time) services."
Committed to the safety of our
citizens
Continue the focus of keeping our
environment clean for future generations
Committed to getting the most
value out of our Tax dollars
“I
supported the use of TIFA/DDA dollars for projects like the new Senior Center and
recreation
center without increasing taxes. We should utilize all the possible
Federal/State/County grant dollars to improve the quality of life without
increasing any local taxes.”
Councilman Burcroff fought to
protect our citizens from airport expansion.
“I
take this challenge very personally. The homestead that I grew up in
here
in
Romulus was
displaced because of airport expansion.”

Councilman Burcroff wants
positive activities for our seniors and the youth.
“I am
excited about our new senior center and the new recreation center. This is
a great way to improve the quality of life without raising taxes.”
Councilman Burcroff’s position on
tax increase:
“The city
charter mandates that the millage rate not exceed 10 mills. We are just under
that. It would technically take a vote of the people to increase the mill rate
by changing the charter. Council can't change it; we can only follow it.” |
