In 2006 the City of Burns received a park grant for a much needed new City park and has since purchased land just north of the Stuart-Burns Elementary School.

The new park will have to be built in phases. Below is a preliminary list of the amenities and activities we hope to build at the new Burns Municipal Park.

PHASE 1
4 Baseball fields (1 with 300' fence)
Parking
Maintenance building
Concessions with meeting rooms
Picnic areas
Walking trails
Dog Park
Playgrounds (1 for toddlers and 1 for school age children)
Restrooms

PHASE 2
Regulation size football field
Basketball Courts
Concessions
Tennis Courts
Sand Volleyball
Picnic areas
Walking trails
Restrooms

FINAL PHASE
Soccer Fields
Restrooms
Completion of walking trails
Picnic areas
