Sea Shanties and songs of the sea with vintage jokes and salty repartee

The “Buc’s” are a rollicking musical crew of pirates, who love to recreate the romance and myth of the "golden age of piracy", (but never the grim reality).  Most are refugees of the Columbia Street Irish Seisiun, so be assured that the tunes are lively and the songs raucous.

Created as a specialty act for Harbor Days 2000, the "Bucs" have added new talent, props, and schtick to become an exciting and welcome presence at festivals and nautical events throughout the Northwest.

The BUDD BAY BUCCANEERS, as a group of 5 to 7 pirates, can perform concerts of 1 or 2 - 45 min sets, they can act as wandering minstrels, and they can lead groups of people in shanty singing.  Their penchant for nautical (and sometimes naughty if the children are in bed) nonsense belies their knowledge of all things maritime, and they can give authoritative workshops on life at sea and the historical use of shanties aboard ship.

From a few to a crew, the Bucs can be commandeered at cutthroat rates for your special event, be it festival, fair, picnic, party, wedding, or promotion.  On stage or strolling among your guests this roguish lot will ensure swashbuckling good fun.

You can also engage 3-4 of the Bucs and their dancing puppet in a special kids presentation called "The Bosun Barney Show".  A popular birthday act!

Ahoy!     This be the Banshee      -     the Budd Bay Buccaneers’ “pirate ship”

‘Tis a portable stage, wit’ sound system, whot can be used where e’er it can be towed.  It has a couple o’ cannons (the one loud carbide, t’other fires a sign whot says “KABOOM”), a treasure chest full o’ booty, a skeletal helmsman (Billy Bones), an’ a crew of musical pirates (the Budd Bay Buccaneers).

The "Bucs" have their CD, "Got Booty?" available for $15 (plus $2 for mailing) from the address below.   It was reviewed in the March 2005 issue of the national pirate publication, "No Quarter Given".
