Hank Cramer followed with great interest the reconstruction of USS Constellation, visiting her in drydock and giving a shanty concert aboard her after she reopened to visitors.  Noting the lack of recorded music in the souvenier shop, he volunteered to make a CD especially for the Constellation.
Back at home in Winthrop, Washington, he gathered a dozen musician friends to help with the project.  The went into the studio in January and February of 2003, and, by May they had it ready.
As the official "band" of the USS Constellation, they make yearly treks to Baltimore, as well as appearances at maritime festivals on the west coast, including the Tall Ships Festival in Victoria BC where their music was featured on a DVD of that festival.  That DVD is now included with the  Constellation's Crew second album, "Back to Sea".        The CD/DVD set  is available for $22 (includes shipping) from:
                    Burt Meyer
