Lies

[to make a statement one knows is false; to give a false impression; to deceive;

false statements or actions]

What happened to looted Iraqi nuclear material? According to this USA Today story [10/5/03] by Brett Wagner, "The release Thursday of chief U.S. weapons inspector David Kay's report detailing America's six-month search for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq has reinflamed the debate over whether anyone will ever uncover that country's alleged stockpiles of biological, chemical and nuclear weapons.

"A great irony, however, seems to have gotten lost in that debate: As a direct result of President Bush's decision to invade Iraq without sufficient forces to secure and protect its nuclear research and storage facilities from rampant looting, enough radioactive material to build scores of dirty bombs now is missing and may be on its way to the international black market."

And speaking of lies and liars, what are we to think about the role of Karl Rove in exposing an active CIA agent, working to uncover weapons of mass destruction? And what must we think about the president and his lies to cover this us? Read about it here from an article published 9/30/2003 in Truthout.

Trinidad killed by capitalism

Remember the "famous" toppling of the Saddam statue on 9 April 2003? Pretty sexy, huh? You'd think it was Iwo Jima all over again. As this web site shows, it was a small area of a public square sealed off by three US tanks with a group of about 150 people. And who were the people? Well, there was Ahmad Chalabi, our government's top choice to take over for Saddam.

Nowhere does Bush lie more often, so brazenly and with such little compunction than on issues of the environment. As with other facets of "Big Lie" syndrome, The Environmental President [formerly known as The Environmental Governor] appears to believe that if he tells the American public that polluted air and water are safe, that logging and mining are good for the land, that what we need are larger vehicles with no emissions requirements and that mercury is good for us [sort of like Ronald Reagan saying that ketchup is a vegetable viz school lunch program] that the public will swallow it whole and without question. The sad thing is how much of the American public believes these lies. That is why you need to visit this site often.

Every "rollback" of environmental standards is another nail in the coffin of our unborn children, whom Bush seems to care so much about [until they leave the womb, that is].
