If you just want to play around:

Alan Palmer sent in the following suggestion

This Jpeg indicates that there're a few county roads near    La Crosse with excessive horizontal and vertical undulations.  Unfortunately, they don't show up on the state highway map (as usual).  And for general weirdness, I often recommend the FAST Corp. bone yard (http://www.fastkorp.com) on the north side of Sparta.”

Pick your size:        800 Pixels wide  (172K)        1000 Pixels wide  (242K)        Super Huge (4148K)

Chuck’s Suggestion:

Brian, The CBX club used to do "Sparta" every year in July. I've been to several of these mini rallies. What they used to do was stay at the Motel at SR27 at I-90 (Motel6? Super 8) , then they had maps and usually one or two groups that went south on 27; W on Co. P. They stayed on P until getting into Hillsboro. Heading back west out of Hillsboro and catching SR-80 south towards Richland Center. Very good M/C Dealer in Richland Center; I can find the name if you like. We used to stop at a nice restaurant 3 mi east of town called "Strawberries" for a (Saturday) noon buffet. Fabulous meal around 8 bucks. The person sponsoring the rally usually took the same route back cause he said the roads look different from the opposite direction. One thing they omitted that they (We) should have done was take SR33 from SR27 east to Hillsboro. That would take in the Wildcat Mtn. State Park; about 10 miles of the best roads in Wisc. The road from Hillsboro to La Crosse is very good also, but it is a State Road and I have been pulled over for a warning there. West of Ontario, the road is smooth and 80mph sweepers abound. Great fun. The alphabet roads are big fun there, but may be a tad bumpy, narrow, but fairly safe from LEOs. Later...Chuckaha

Day Trip Idea

I am sending this as an idea for a day trip. I have road most of these roads and there is a good mix of curves.”

House on the Hill Route

Here is a route for the House on the Hill (stop 10) and Frank Lloyd Wright’s house (Stop 11). They are really close together. I have been told that it takes 2 days to see all of the House of the Hill. You can speed this trip up by staying on the major highways.”

Check out that Terrain….!!!
