So this is something completely different!
BlackStone Grille is a classy fusion resturant that recently opened in Jacksonville, Florida. I was asked to do a photo shoot of their food and establishment for promotional uses and for their website. Seeing that I'm related to the owners, how can I refuse?

The upside is that I got to eat quite a few of the dishes. Ummmm-hmmm good! The downside is that I got to eat quite a few of the dishes (diet, what diet?)!

Shooting food well is surprisingly challenging and grueling work. Lets just say shooting airplanes is more fun! However, if someone in the SF Bay area needs these kind of shots - I'd not beyond doing it again!

Used a Nikon D200 w/ a 18-55mm VR lens, and a D50 w/ a 50mm F1.8 lens (just for a couple of shots). Mostly shot in shutter priority exposure mode, with Single autofocus. Also used a SB-600 flash in wireless mode for off axis lighting with the D200 on-board flash in TTL mode.
