
The Brown Pelican is the smallest of the Pelicans, though it is still a pretty large bird!

It can have a wingspan of up to 8 ft!

The hard thing about taking pictures of birds is - they never seem to cooperate!

Here's one with a bit of the Rock in the back - but he didn't stay at this altitude for additional shots!

Their fly-bys are brief and unpredictable. Good thing I was hanging around all day anyway!

I found that like airplanes, I prefer an interesting background for the birds. I particularly liked this one.

Alas, the birds hardly ever fly where I want them to! So interesting shots are the exception, rather than the rule.

Actually, couldn't ask for much better than this one. Happy to have caught it!

Taking bird shots are almost as fun as air shows. They're just not as noisy!
