Lucyna II Photos

Motoring into Burnham Harbor. With the low lake levels, we used to launch at Hammond or Jackson Park. In 2000, Burnham extended their ramps about 15', and we now launch and pull out there.  View is toward McCormick Place.  The buoys barely visible here mark the danger zone at the end of the Meigs Field runway glide path.

Reaching to 4 Mile Crib.
Anchored in Lake Michigan.  Lucy is keeping watch over the kids who are swimming (with their PFD's on).
Dad and the girls taking a dip in Lake Michigan.  Water stays pretty cold until August, when it finally gets up to about 76 degrees.  But it's clean!
Chris and Lucy having laughs during lunch break.
Dana, Kate and Allison playing cards in the cabin.  Kate's friends spent the evening with us during a Dave Matthews concert at Soldier Field.  We had a short sail then enjoyed listening to the music, free.
Coming in for a landing, Christina ready with the lines.
Chris and Andrea getting a ride while Kate rows the dinghy.
Andrea enjoying a trip up the mast while Chris handles the winch.

Lucyna II at her dock for the season.  The rain cover was hand-made by Lucy using Sunbrella fabric fit to the existing pop-top snaps.
