To get this started I want to make a comment on something close to my heart. The Live Action DBZ movie. I know at the moment that it looks like it won't be happening. But if it did and you were the director, who would you like to see at Goku and Vegeta?
My personal choices are Brendan Fraisier as Goku and Antonio Banderias as Vegeta. They are both gifted actors with a keen grasp of the comedic (which you have to admit is one of the essential charms of DB). Both have done action adventure, including difficult stunt work (with marital arts experience). And if you really look at them (disregarding Brendan's blondness, cause I have also seen him with very dark hair) they are almost dead ringers for the characters (the height difference is even right!) Antonio's coloring could be explained away as a space tan and his melodic accent could be caused by Vegeta's not being raised on Earth.
The best examples for my making these two choices are Brendan's performances in Dudley Do Right, George of the Jungle and the two Mummy movies, and Antiono's in The Mask of Zorro, The Thirteenth Warrior and the Spy Kids movies (he even sounds like Vegeta when he refers to his moo-ustache in Spy Kids!)
After rewatching the 2003 "Peter Pan" movie, I have also decided that Jeremy Sumpter (who played the lead) would make a wonderful Trunks. He's cute and has plenty of 'flight training' which would be a big plus! His age will be about right too, (rememberTrunks first appears as a seventeen year old!
I 'd have 'The Rock' play Raditz or Tien, with Chuck Norris as Roshi, and Johnny Depp as Yamcha or the tournament announcer. If Depp was the annoucner then I'd get Orlando Bloom to play Yamcha (but I think Depp would be better, he has that slightly sinster quality.) Of course Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid from Harry Potter) has to be the Ox-king!
