O. Charles Abernethy has been playing keyboards, starting with piano, by note and by ear, since age 8. A Denver native, he has played church music since age 12. Over the years, serving in the capacities of muscian, choir director and now, Music Director at Mt. Calvary Lutheran, he has had formal associations with several black churches in the Denver area, as well as appearances at many other Christian churches.

More often as band leader, Chuck played pop music in regional nightclubs during the 1970's. He has been interested in electronic keyboards from childhood. He started sequencing music in the mid-1980's. Thus, with mostly MIDI file authoring, he has provided background music for Ensemble Mgmt.'s first five projects.

Chuck attended the University of Colorado. Since 1978, he has worked in Information Technology as a small systems programmer/analyst. Until mid-2003, for 22 years he worked for the State of Colorado in various agencies. Chuck likes to think of himself as an innovator.

Now, as founder and head of Ensemble Mgmt., with its partners, he wants to be a part of moving area churches and other organizations into the 21st century through the varied and creative use of talent, technology, media and music. Chuck invites you to enjoy his next songs in this series:
