Start of project.  End cut and squared on main case board. Top and sides surfaced; outside surface only.  Bottom is cut to size.
Case parts; front edge is jointed. Case parts; rebate is cut from back boards.
Back boards cut to length and shiplapped. 

Total time so far is 2 1/2 hours.

Tails marked and cut in case top and bottom. 

Total time so far is 3 hours.

Chopping mortise (3 sided) for drawer dividers. Cutting dados for drawer runners.  Saw and chisel (no dado plane).
Ready for case glue up. End of day 2; with tools used.  Case glued with all fillers, runners, back parts, and story stick.
Close up of case with back parts and story stick; waiting for glue to dry.  Total time now at 6 hours. Installing back with cut nails.
Installed shiplapped back. Making stock for base.
Tools used today. Project status.  Slightly less than 8 hours so far.  P.S. I plug in the clock when I start work, and unplug it when I finish.
Layout of base leg detail.  Holes drilled for vertical to horizontal transition. Cutting base leg detail.
Fitting miter detail at top corners of base. Base glued together and being attached to case with rived (rubbed joint) glue blocks.  Total time now at 9 1/2 hours.
Sawing off base overhang on back. Cleaning up case and joints - ready for crown and paint.  Plane ordered to make crown has not arrived.
Ready for crown, paint and drawers.  Time so far is 9 3/4 hours. OK - so I got a start on the crown.  It will be two piece crown. I have both of the "lower"  lengths done ( one for the front and one for the two sides).  This is an "in-process" shot.  Now up to 10 1/2 hours.
Crown made and being fitted.  Front and one side now glued.  Total time at 11 1/4 hr.  Looks like the case will be complete and ready for paint in about 12 hours. Carcus cleaned up and ready for paint. Total time 11 3/4 hours.
