Thanks for stopping by and visiting c&cp. On your way out, perhaps you might want to check out some of these favored sites:
amazingcatcollection.com -- The URL says it all. Kitties, kitties, & more kitties for your viewing pleasure.
Bizarro -- What can you say? Simply the best panel comic working today (especially since Gary Larson hung it up). Check in regularly.
Daily Kos -- The premier progressive political blog. Absolute must view material, every day.
Doonesbury -- This hardly needs any explanation--the official site of undoubtedly the greatest daily newspaper comic strip ever inked on the page. If it's not in your newspaper, you must visit here.
www.jumptheshark.com -- Anyone with an interest in Modern American Culture--as we like to call it here at c&cp--especially the TV part of MAC, simply must take a look at this site. Find your favorite show, and find out exactly when it "jumped the shark" (explanation on the site).
MC Hawking's Crib -- A hilarious goof featuring the gangsta stylings of Professor Stephen Hawking. A well-designed site, with fabulous content--the newz and letters pages are always worth a look, and the songs are not to be missed. Download everything you can. (Warning: some explicit language on the mp3s.)
Media Matters For America -- I strongly suggest looking into this site. These days you can hardly tell the lying liars apart without a scorecard. MMFA is as close as you can get.
National Do Not Call Registry -- Screw those shithead telemarketers; register your phone number and tell them to go to hell. (Effectiveness dependent upon government action, legislative or judicial. Perhaps you should call your congressman and express some interest in this...)
NOW (PBS) -- What a television newsmagazine should be. The only big name news source that I ever bother with, or even come close to believing. It has an undeniable progressive bias, but they have enough conservative guests to provide some balance. Check this site for viewing time and station near you, and to preview upcoming episodes.
Reneé O'Connor's Official Fan Club -- The muse has put together a nice little site, well-designed and eye-catching, with lots of promise for plenty of good content. Give the girl a look.
Pat Oliphant -- The definitive editorial cartoonist of our times: great artist, right on the money viewpoint, and funny as all shit.
The Onion -- I humbly bow to The Onion, the true pinnacle of internet satire. I try to skewer the world with a cynical lance; these guys succeed, week in and week out. You must read this, on a regular basis.
The Straight Dope -- The only source for the answer to every esoteric question your twitching mind could ever imagine.
Stuff On My Cat -- One of the finest treasure troves for cat pictures on the net. You'll laugh, you'll cry, it will become a part of you.
a terrible thing -- OK, I know I'm going to get shit for this one. Yes, most of the stuff on here is pretty offensive and occasionally downright sick. But most of it is damn funny, too. Especially the "In Poor Taste" series (notably, the first few strips--the quality has slacked off lately). If you get even remotely close to being offended by anything, don't visit here. But if you're game, check it out...
