| Landing at the Amsterdam airport, it's a short 15 minute ride by train to the city Train Station. | Everything spokes out from the train station. Hotels are nearby; trolley and bus just outside, canal barges to take you on tours and 10 million bicycles. |

| My hotel on this trip was the City Hotel within walking distance from the train station. Great 55 Euro price and very centralized. | The previous two years I stayed at The Koopermoolen on a narrow active street with lots of shops. At the other end was Amsterdam's Chinatown. |

| I never tried this but that white structure is a hotel on a boat just in front of my City Hotel. | I certainly couldn't afford to stay here, but for the past 4 years the Barbazon Palace was my pick-up point for transportation to Raamsdonksveer. At least, out front, I looked rich. |

| The trolley system is quite extensive in Amsterdam. | One trolley (#20) circles the city and makes for quite a ride. However, it is very easy to walk around the city. |
