When musicians such as Jo van Strien (RZB) and Willis Prudhomme (Willis Prudhomme & Zydeco Express) get together for double-accordion they bring the house down. This festival features a great deal of musicians sitting in from other bands -- to the delight of the crowd
Enthusiastic patrons fill the cavernous weather protected tent for the Raamsdonksveer Cajun Zydeco Festival. The tent is so big it is referred to as "Zydeco Zity." For an great enlarged view of this scene Click Here
Visitors come from all over Europe -- Holland, Denmark, Belgium, France, Germany, United Kingdom, etc.; as well as the United States. This "bloke" either came from Australia or Greenbelt, Maryland.
Dirk Powell, from Balfa Toujour, a Louisiana band featured at the festival last year, comes on stage to join Jo and Willis. Willis puts down his accordion and picks up the "tee fer" for rhythm support.
Some guest musicians put on shows at nearby clubs during the festival, here Lisa Haley of Lisa Haley and the Zydekats (California) plays her famous blue fiddle at a local Dutch restaurant/bar.
