What is Freemasonry?

Freemasonry is many different things to many different people. For some, it is a companion to religion. For others, it is a system of morals. It is often said that, "Freemasonry makes great men better." Some join for the brotherhood. Being the largest fraternity in the world, wherever a mason travels, he is sure to find another mason. Also, people join the Masons for the charitable work alone. Masonic bodies contribute more money to charity than any other nonprofit organization in the world (over 1 million dollars a day) ! Other Masonic organizations are Pilgrim Commandery #55, Council, Chapter, Scottish Rite, & the Shriners. These are all Masonic organizations that believe in a Supreme being and practice faith hope and charity.
