• Key of D, tuned to A440 • Full two octave range

• Made from durable PVC plastic

• Size: aprox. 23" • 1" Diameter • 3/4" Bore • Wall thickness: aprox 1/8" thick

• Decoration: Finished in durable vinyl w/ clover emblem

• Embouchure: Traditional (oldest style) round embouchure at 3/8" w/ rounded back and side edges for comfort of playing and smoothness of sound.

• Finger hole spacing and size: Patterned after years of research to match the standards of most spacing and hole sizes of traditional Low D Irish flutes. 

NOTE: Persons with smaller hands may find it a challenge to properly cover the finger holes on any Low D flute, but you can with practice. A helpfull method is using the "Piper's Grip" which I will show on my Learning to Play Page.


Additional Notes:

BEGINNING PLAYERS: In all honesty, if you have never played a transverse (side-blown) flute before you won't be able to just pick it up and play...unless you were a flute player in your past life. But if you have the passion and determination to learn, you will play, and the satisfaction of that accomplishment is awesome. There are techniques which will help speed up your progress, some I will attempt to post on this site. The rest of what you need to know can be gained from internet searches or a good teacher.
