Shannon Tu got her
second state title in the 12 B division with an awesome all-around
score of 38.05. She had a graceful beam routine and received a 1st
place, 9.675. She was 2nd on bars (9.425), and 3rd on vault (9.325)
and floor (9.625). Also in the same age group Lauren Masatsugu came
in 2nd on beam with a 9.3. She came in 5th in the all-around' with a
36.525.
Michelle Ho also reigned as a state champion after earning a 37.45
in the all-around for the 13 A group. Michelle's strength on the
bars won her the 1st lace score of 9.425. She was 2nd on floor with
a 9.55, and 3rd on vault with a 9.275. Britnai Bailey became the
state beam champ after scoring a 9.3 for her steady exercise.
Britnai completed 5th in the all-around with a 36.525.
Amanda Bedell also came in 5th in the all-around of her 14 A age
group with a 35.175.
Shannon and Michelle were selected to the Level 8 State team.

With her grace and precision, she won beam (9.375) and floor (9.4).
She came out 3rd on bars with a 9.15 and awarded a gold in the
all-around with a 36.325. Shannon Tu also outscored her competitors
and had the highest AA of 37.25 of the 12-13 year-olds. She was 1st
on beam (9.325), and floor (9.35), and 3rd on vault (9.2) and bars
(9.375). Michelle Ho was the 2nd place AA winner with a 37.075. She
was the best on bars with a 9.475 and 3rd on beam with a 9.225.
Britnai Bailey scored 2nd on vault with a 9.3. Amanda Bedell was 2nd
on vault with an 8.85, and 2nd on bars with a 9.175 in the Sr. 14-16
age group.

In the younger level 8's, Alexa
Hernandez triumphed on the beam with a 9.4 for 1st place. In the
middle division, Shannon Tu ruled the competition with a 37.1 all
around. Her
wonderful floor dance received the 1st place 9.55, and her bar
routine was a 2nd place 9.5. Michelle Ho was right behind her in the
all-around with a 37.025. She came out with a 1st place 9.65 on
bars, and a 3rd on floor with a 9.45. Lauren Masatsugu performed a
clean floor routine and received a 9.225. Amanda Bedell was also
part of this 1st place team.
