On Friday our camp day begins at 11:00 AM. We will have the usual opening, at noon, and then the usual stations. The end of the day will bring a closing ceremony (with the remaining dens doing their skits), followed by the BBQ, and "closing campfire" for the boys and parents.
After a full day of fun, Ireland Scouts, parents and leaders are invited to join us for a picnic, beginning at 5:30 PM. You can bring your own picnic dinner, or purchase a nutritious meal of hamburgers, hot dogs, and sides. Cost: $6 per meal for adults and $4 for youth 11 and under. Campers Friday barbecue is not included in their camp fee. We would appreciate it if families could purchase tickets by Wednesday so we can accurately count meals to be served. Pre-purchased tickets will be distributed to the units on Thursday to take home to the parents. Tickets will be sold at the picnic once all the pre-purchased ticket holders have gotten their dinners.
The closing Campfire will begin at approximately 6:15 PM. At this ceremony leaders will receive a packet containing medical forms, patches, certificates and special recognitions.
If your den will not be represented at the closing ceremony, please make arrangements with the camp office as early as possible, so your patches, certificates and medical forms can be prepared for you in advance. Also, make sure you leave contact information so that those items that could not be prepared in advance can be picked up.
