Please keep in mind that these are things the boys CAN accomplish by attending camp and participating in the activities. It is up to the unit leaders to determine that a boy participated in an activity and that he “did his best.” We do not mean for leaders to be harsh in their requirements of participation, but if little Johnny was off playing under a bush while the rest of the boys did the activity, then that may not be that boy’s “best.” Leaders will also want to read through the achievements in the appropriate Cub Scout book to see if they feel that the camp activity provided fully complied with the intent of the achievement activity.
