Achievements

3A Write or tell what makes America special to you
7G Discuss and know what you can do to help Law Enforcement officials.  Talk about to whom you should go to see if you have useful information for the Police. (Parents, Police, Teachers--Someone they Trust).  Be able to describe a car, person, and take down license numbers.
15B Play two organized games with your den
15C If a boy teaches a new game to the den, and then plays it with the den, he receives this achievement
16B With a buddy, compete in at least 6 different two-person contests.  There a re some listed in the rainy day section of this manual; also check in the Bear Book for details.
16C Compete with your den.  Crab Relay, Gorilla Relay, 30 yard dash, Kangaroo Relay.  Check "Rainy Day Activities" for other games and relays.
18F Write a thank you note to someone.
22C Learn how to keep a rope from getting tangled up.
23C Take part in one team and one individual sport.  Discuss rules and how game was played.
24C Plan and conduct a den activity with the approval of Den Leader.  Could be a game, song, etc.
24D Tell two people they have done a good job.
24E Leadership means choosing a way even when it is not popular.  Talk about hard choices.  It's time to go home, but it's so much fun!  You don't want to go home.  Your friends don't have to be home until 30 minutes later.  What do you do?  Friends ask you to ride bikes to the other side of town.  Your parents don't allow you to do that. What do you say?  Do?  There's a new kid on your street.  HOw do you become his friend?  At school, your teacher leaves the room during a test.  Some of the kids are trading answers.  Do you do it too?  What if someone asks you to give them an answer?  Is it hard not to cheat?
