Membership Information
CAMTA is affiliated with the Music Teachers' National Association (MTNA) and the Michigan Music Teachers Association (MMTA). In order to be a member of CAMTA, you must also join the state and national organizations. The association dues are $30 yearly and the state and national dues are $80 yearly. All are payable to MTNA. Meeting Information
Meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month, September through May, at Plymouth Congregational Church in Lansing. The business meeting begins at 9:30, followed by the program from approximately 10-11 am. The speaker is usually taken to lunch and the membership is invited.
Meetings may include mini-presentations by the membership, a Master Class using students of member teachers, and various visiting speakers talking on subjects relevent to our membership. The May meeting includes the election of officers, a recital program by CAMTA members, followed by a luncheon.
