Green Line

Also known as Line One, it, along with the Orange Line, was part of the original metro plans.  The Green Line has 27 stations and runs East-West, serving Montreal’s downtown district.  Each metro train on the Green Line is made up of 9 cars.  The cars used on the Green are older models than the ones used on the Orange, Blue, and Yellow.  There are no station announcements on the Green Line unless the driver decides to make them him or herself (it’s about a fifty-fifty chance, though recently it’s picked up a bit more).  The construction on the line finished in 1980 and it has not been extended since 1978.
