| Welcome
to my Montreal Metro website!
My name
is Tess Woodard and I've lived in Montreal for, let's
say, two years. I'm a student at McGill University
studying international development studies and Middle
East studies, along with taking lots of languages.
I have a great appreciation to the many mechanical
marvels of this earth, which I can thank my father, a
mechanical engineer, for. I especially love
airplanes, trains, and metros.
Montreal
has a very unique metro system. All the stations
were designed by different architects, and therefore
each is a unique work of art within itself. All
the metro trains use rubber tires, reducing braking time
and creating a rather quiet ride when turning corners.
I have
given myself a mission: Visit each metro station,
get out, look around, and take photographs. And I
can share my mission with you through this website. All
the photographs and the design of this website are from
my creativity. The majority of the information
comes from the Metro de Montreal website (the mecca of
Montreal metro information and trivia), which is linked
to the left under the link to the STM. Opinions
about the stations are my own and if you want your own -
I suggest that you take a tour of the beautiful metro! Not
all the links are working yet, so I highly suggest you
check the Updates page to not become frustrated with a
non-working page! |
