The
property is wedge shaped with the front and two sides of the lot
being almost 750' and the back of the lot being 110'. The back of
the property is bordered by a good sized stream while the left side
is bordered by a small stream. The cabin sits in the center of the
property, assuring it almost total privacy. On the back end of the
lot is a 1 acre pond, with a small island, that attracts ducks,
geese, birds, deer and other wild critters.
Although
private and secluded, this property is only a short drive from most
major highways in the area. The rolling hills of the property give
the feel of being in any area other than Delaware which is mostly
flat. The hills also lend themselves to some great sledding after a
winter snow.
All
utilities are underground, including electric, telephone lines,
cable and artesian water. There also is a 25' by 50' garden with
great soil and a small orchard with apple and pear trees. The woods
are a nice mix of red and white oaks, maples, beech, sassafras, gum,
poplar, white pine and firs, not to mention the wild dogwoods, wild
azaleas and hollies. There are many beautiful azaleas,
rhododendrons, daffodils, crocuses and grape hyacinths planted near
the cabin. The views from the windows of the cabin afford year round
beauty. Hopefully these pages will give you an idea of what it's
like to live on this unique property.
