Join us for our Transportation Holiday Social -- 14 December 2005, Ft. Myer Officers Club  -- Guest Speaker: BG Mark Scheid, USATC


Our Mission:

The purpose of this Association is to promote the Transportation Corps; to support the Chief of Transportation (COT); to promote the professional development of its members; and to foster and preserve the spirit, traditions, and solidarity of the Transportation Corps Regiment.


Statement of Objectives:

  •   To support the Chief of Transportation in strengthening the image of the Transportation Corps. 

  •   To assist in promoting Fort Eustis as America’s Transportation Center of Excellence and the Army’s Power Projection Platform for Transportation support.

  •   To work with other organizations in promoting the U.S. Army and the Transportation Corps.

  •   To provide various communicative means for encouraging all Transporters to become actively involved in Association developments.

  •   To provide academic scholarships to eligible family members.

  •   To work with the defense industry and encourage involvement in Association activities.

  •   To promote efficient organizational mechanisms, guidelines, and membership incentives for the Association’s chapters worldwide.

  •   To support Association chapters in their community relations efforts that promote the Transportation Corps and to develop members professionally.

  •   To provide resource support for the recognition of outstanding soldiers and civilians of the Association’s Chapter level.


Who We Are

We are an organization of Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, Civilian, and Retired Transportation Corps Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers in the Washington D.C. Metro Area.

Our Capital Chapter was established in July 2004 and our member list is growing everyday!


Join Us for the 2005 Transportation Holiday Social!

Dear Fellow Transporters and Friends,


On behalf of the Capital Chapter-TCRA and the Transportation Corps Retired Officer's Wive's Club, I invite you to join us at our annual TC Corps Holiday Social.   This year's event is a luncheon on 14 December 2005, from 11:30 to 1:30 in the Abram's Chaffee Room at the Fort Meyer Officer's Club.  Our guest speaker will be BG Mark Scheid, Commanding General, United States Army Transportation Center and School.  BG Scheid will give an update on the status of the Corps.

Tickets are selling fast so reserve your spot now.  Don't miss out on the chance to renew old acquaintances, and catch up on the latest regimental news! 

In addition to the lavish door prizes, there will be a 50/50 raffle, with half the proceeds going to victims of hurricane Katrina.  Also please remember to bring an unwrapped gift to donate to the Fisher House, at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
