| Tournament will start at 6:00. 'Cards will be in the Air' at 6:00.
Don't be late. Late Players: If you are late for the start of the tournament, your chips will be reduced at a rate of $200 in chips per blind level missed. You must arrive before the first hand of the fifth blind level is dealt (After the 1st Break 90 Minutes) or you will not be allowed to play. Players that register and no-show will have 25 points deducted from their overall tournament points and must pay the $5 tournament entry fee for the missed tournament before being allow to play in a future tournament. Once again, if you can't make it, please call or e-mail to avoid losing points and save yourself $5.! Intial seating will be determined with Poker Tournament Software. Software is also used when breaking down tables. Button placement for the initial hand is also determined by Tournament Director Software. Tournament host will indicate table numbers and Seat numbers. When only 9 players remain, the final table seating will be as follows: The Tournament Director software move players to Table 1. Button will move appropriately as a result of the previous hand at Table 1. New players will move to their assigned seats. New Players will not be Button, Big Blind or Small Blind. New Players may have to sit out up to 3 hands until the Button has passed their new seat. This is done to avoid a player being in a blind at the previous table and them coming to the final table and being placed in a blind seat. The Tournament Director software determines all seating moves as players are eliminated. When the Tournament Director software moves you to a new table: When the software moves you to a new table and you are moved to the button, small blind or big blind here is how the hand(s) will proceed. You will not play any hands until the button moves past you. If you are moved to the 1st to act position nothing changes and you will be big blind the next hand. This setup is what happens for most on-line Poker Rooms and is fair to all players. Cut Cards will be used for all tables. Each hand must be cut with the Cut Card. 2 decks will be used at each table. While a hand is being played the previous dealer is shuffling the 2nd deck. Players must protect their cards so they are not mucked by the dealer. (i.e. place a chip on the cards if you are remaining in the hand) If your cards get mucked by the dealer the hand is folded and can not be retrieved. This is the same rule that is in use at Poker rooms inside Casinos. When dealing there is a burn card before the flop, turn & river. A card flipped up inadvertently during the deal will be used as a burn card. If a second card is turned up accidentally on the same deal, the entire hand will be re-dealt. NEW Rule as of 03/01/2009. If a board card or cards are displayed before the round of betting is completed (i.e. before somebody has the opportunity to put in some chips) then the burn card and the displayed card or cards will be put back in the deck with the remaining cards, not already folded during the hand, and shuffled and then cut by any player not remaining in that hand. Then the betting round will continue from player that did not complete their bet and any subsequent action. When the betting round is completed the dealer will burn a card and then display the board card or cards. Do not act out of turn. Verbally announce your betting action (Call, Raise, All-In & Amount) before betting any chips. Please do not "splash" the pot. Place all bets in front of you until the betting round is complete. When the betting round is complete, push all the chips bet into the pot. If you put out 1 large denomination chip without saying anything it is considered a 'Call'. If you put out 2 or more chips, in one motion, it is considered a raise, but must be at least the minimum raise. Best move is to verbally announce your action including the amount, then you can put the chips in front of you with multiple movements. No string raising please, which is a bet (more typically a raise) in which a player doesn't get all the chips required for the raise into the pot in one motion. Unless you verbally declared the raise and the amount, you will be forced to have the raise be just the amount of chips put in with the one motion (minimum raise at least). If you didn't verbally announce raise and the amount put in your one motion is not enough for a minimum raise you will be forced to withdraw it and just call. The minimum bet is the big blind. Minimum raise: The raise amount must be at least as much as the previous bet or raise in the same round. As an example, if the first player to act bets $100 then the second player if they are raising must raise a minimum of $100 (total bet of $200). Maximum eligible raise: The size of your stack. Chip Color-Up. 1st Chip color up of Green Chips and 2nd color up of Black Chips. Chips will be rounded up when replaced. For example if you have $225 in Green Chips at the 1st color up you will receive $300 in Black Chips for the color up. If you have $800 in Black Chips at the 2nd color up you will receive $1000 in Purple Chips for the color up. Miscellaneous: Once the Tournament Director software chimes to raise the blinds, the next hand to be started will be with the new blind levels. A hand is started after both blinds are posted. Cards always speak for themselves. Refrain from speaking of possible hands when a hand is still in play. If you show your cards to any player the cards must be shown to the entire table. This is done so that all players receive the information regarding what cards that player had instead of just one. Please keep your cards & chips on the table and in plain view and not in the cupholders. Smoking permitted outside only please. Immediately inform the Tournament Director when you are eliminated. DEAD BUTTON RULE If the new small blind busts out and is not replaced by a player from another table, the button moves to the now empty seat (the seat vacated by the eliminated small blind). The player who was to be the big blind now posts the big blind and the hand is played without a small blind. The new dealer will now deal for 2 consecutive hands. For the 2nd hand blinds are posted normally. This way no one misses their big blind. The button stays in the same place for 2 hands. If the new big blind busts out and is not replaced by a player from another table, the button moves to the player who was the small blind on the previous hand and the player to the left of the eliminated big blind posts the big blind. Small blind is posted by the player to the left of the new dealer. If the Tournament Director software places a player into a seat that is to become the dealer for the next hand that player is skipped as the dealer to avoid the players that just posted blinds to have to post the same blinds for 2nd hand. If the new blinds both bust out and are not replaced, the new dealer will deal and the hand will only have a big blind. Once that hand is completed the same player will deal a 2nd hand with normal blinds being posted. |
