Roger recently repaired the steering axle of a wagon used by a less than able man that uses the wagon to haul his neighbors kitchen garbage to the apartment complex's compactor.

Olympia Capitol City Lions News in Brief

Meeting Schedule for 2nd half of October & November:  Oct 27th, Nov 10th & Nov 24th,  7:00 PM, Shipwreck Café.

Recent cash donations:  $500 memorial donation to Camp Leo.  $100.00 by member Bill Zidel to Tumwater Lions for their dictionary program. 

Eye exams/eyeglasses:  2 for October to date.  
 Projects October to date:
        1. LERC: 3.5 hrs.
        2. HBP (Homeless Backpacks): 12 hrs.
        3. Apple Packing/Sales:  Combined 50+ hrs packing on  10/10 & 10/17 by 10 club members.  (Club sold 99 reg boxes & 8 boxes of small, with 2 boxes of smalls donated by member Mike Freels to a pre-school.  Help thanks from Chair Tony Gunn.  
Entertainment 2010 Books:   Available at meeting or call John Umino, 491-1719.

Christmas Tree Sales 2009:  Stand set-up Thursday Dec 10th, with tree pick-up/delivery/sales on Friday Dec 11th.
  
Upcoming Guest Speaker:  Paul Grudis on 10/27, regarding Holiday Connections.
