Players: 5 or more; all riders
Where: Indoors in a gym or outdoors
Equipment: None
Object:
Players try to tag other riders, who then form a line behind the Chaser.
Play:
Choose one rider to be the Chaser. All others ride around the playing area as the Chaser tries to tag someone. The first person tagged joins hands with the Chaser, and they ride together to tag another rider, who then joins hands with the first person tagged. The train of riders continues to grow as the Chaser and the train try to tag more riders. The line can be used to surround or corner a rider. When everyone is tagged, the last person tagged becomes the new Chaser.
Level Adjustments:
Riders of higher abilities should ride one-footed or with
one hand behind the back if the Chaser is of a lower ability, especially until
one rider has been tagged. Once riders are added to the train, they ride
without doing other skills.
Variation:
For more than 5 players, choose two Chasers. Each Chaser tries to tag other players to add to his or her line. Longest line is the winning team. At the end of this game, these teams could be used to begin a new game, such as a relay.
Comments:
This game was played at Unicon 11. It worked well, but if the trains got too long, it was hard to keep going.
