All riders begin with the Base Tier and move up to higher tiers in as many divisions as they choose. This chart shows only the divisions currently under development.
Rider Bases: General riding skills, including riding, turning, dismounting, freemounting, idling, riding over an obstacle, and hopping.
Artistic Intermediate: Indoor performance-type riding skills, including freemounts, turns, idles, seat-out-front, seat-out-back, backwards, one-foot, and hops. Advanced and expert divisions focus on higher-level skills, including freemounts, one-foot, backwards, wheel walk, spins, and others.
Technical: Hops, drops, gaps, obstacles, skinnies, and other skills that help prepare riders for Trials competitions.
Matrix: Precision indoor riding skills that help prepare riders for Standard Skill performances.
Tall: Giraffe riding skills that help prepare riders for parades or other performances.
Juggling: Combining the skills of unicycling and juggling.
U-Wheel: Basic skills for learning to ride a UW (ultimate wheel), a wheel with pedals but no seat or frame.
Pairs: Basic Artistic skills for riding with one partner that help prepare riders for performances and competitions.
