About The SJR
Since 1966 the South Jersey Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America membership has been committed to sharing our vehicles with the public. It is our goal to see that our antique and classic beauties are “out and about” at local events for the public to see and enjoy.
Once each year, the SJR presents an all makes and models car show which benefits the “Sunshine Foundation” for children with severe illnesses. The show is held at the Toscana's restaurant in Mullica Hill, NJ. We also participate in the Harvest Fest car show in Elmer, NJ, where Lew Zane, a past SJR president, instituted a car show that included antiques, classics, motorcycles as well as military vehicles. Both shows continue to grow each year. Once a year our club also gives scholarships to the Salem County Vocational School auto shop in addition to the body shop. We also hold a car show with proceeds that benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand for children with cancer. Our support continues with the Police Explorers of Carney's Point who are extremely helpful to us with our Swap Meet each March. During the summer show season, we sponsor 2 monthly car cruise-ins that we call "get togethers." The dates are the second Wednesday of each month (May - September) at Lapp's Olympia Dairy Bar on Rt. 40 west of Woodstown and the fourth Wednesday at Toscana's Restaurant / Carvel Ice Cream on Rt. 77 in Mullica Hill.
Our SJR Swap Meet and Car Corral (formerly held at Cowtown) are now held at the Salem County Fairgrounds ¼ mile west of Cowtown on US RT 40. Next year’s event will be held Sunday March 25. Be sure to add it to your list of “must do events” as it draws thousands of shoppers and hundreds of vendors and has been held yearly for over 40 years! It’s the biggest one day swap meet on the east coast. If you are a shopper and searching for that illusive part then you will want to attend! If you are a vendor, then this is the event you don’t want to miss as many of our vendors have happily been part of our Swap Meet for many years. Further information on the Swap Meet can be had by going to the "contact us" section on this web site.
Our region is always on the lookout for new members. You need not have a classic vehicle to join but simply be interested in the automobile and its heritage. Our membership covers many generations and we include our AACA Junior Members in events in the hope that they will continue to keep the love of our classics alive.
The SJR attends many parades, travels to nursing homes as well as attending many other auto events in and out of NJ. Our club donates to the A.A.C.A. Museum and The AACA Library and Research Center. We encourage the public to visit both the Library and Museum while visiting Hershey, PA
We have over 100 members and hope to continue the growth of our region. If you are interested in joining, or have a question, please use the “Contact Us” selection on this site and we will do our best to find an answer to your question. We look forward to seeing you "down the road!"
“BUZZER”
SJ REGION’S FRIENDLY MASCOT
I buzz around fighting off all unfriendly mosquitoes while you members are participating in your old car activities. I will protect you on your tours throughout countryside, and keep the air clear of attacks at your meets. You can count on me, YORE OLE FREN, BUZZER.
I’m pretty tough, and can handle any Jersey dive bombing assaults, even from those nasty old mosquitoes that sneak over from Delaware. From now on, all of your friends from across the Big Creek can visit you in peace.
My duty is to buzz around the country every month and bring you news from all over.
SOUTH JERSEY REGION’S THEME SONG
LYRICS BY: CURTIS REIBER
Sung to the tune of “I’M FOREVER BLOWING BUBBLES”
If you are an antique car buff,
South Jersey Region welcomes you;
We meet on the first Monday night of each month, at the Woodstown Borough Hall, at seven
We’ll all be glad to greet you,
and share our antiques too;
So, if you are an antique car buff,
South Jersey Region welcomes you.
Thanks for looking at our web site.

President
