Louie in TN
Hello, I’m "Memphis Louie"
and I have a story to tell:

Only a few months ago, I was homeless, hungry and alone. I didn’t have much to be thankful for, but on December 01, 2003 all that changed. A nice lady came to free me from “THE CAGE”. I had been living there with the fleas since I was picked up for wandering the street. She took me to another lady who gave me a bath, got rid of those itchy fleas and best of all…she wrapped me in a warm toasty towel. It felt so wonderful to be able to cuddle with someone.

Later, I went to stay with some great people. At first, I took lots of naps and ate lots of

food. They took such good care of me. There were other pugs to play with and laps for me to nap on, I was so happy there with them. My foster family loved me so much, they even let me sleep in their bed every night.

On January 04, 2004 they took me for a car ride that would take me to my new life. I spent all that day going from car to car. Then the lady in the last car took me home and took care of me for the night. The next morning we were off again and I was riding in many cars with many nice people again. It was kind of fun and kind of scary at the same time. Finally, on the last leg of my trip, I got to meet part of my FOREVER FAMILY. When I got to the house, there was another dog, named Lily waiting at the door for me. She wasn’t a pug, but she turned out to be OK.

Well, two months have passed and things could not be better. Lily and I are best friends, we run and play all the time, except when it’s time for one of my frequent snack or nap breaks. She shares everything with me, toys, bones, treats, friends, except not her dinner. I taught her how to be a good watchdog and she taught me how to dig up the yard looking for moles. For some reason my family doesn’t like the nice holes we dig. They keep filling them in.

Speaking of my family, I have them right where I want them … wrapped around my little toe. They treat me like a king, just like I deserve. I get to snuggle with them when they are sitting down and sleep in their bed every night. The only problem with them is when they are around and I get a good loud snore going, they start laughing. For some strange reason, they love to hear me snore when I sleep. I bet it’s because they can’t snore so well.

Whatever the reason, life is great here for this “Snuggle Pug” in Pugdom. My forever family and I can never thank the wonderful people at Pug Rescue of Memphis for helping us find each other and the volunteer transport drivers that were kind enought to make my long journey possible. I am truly the perfect pug for my new family!

Snuggles and snores,

Louie
