Cindy

Cindy

In late December of 1987 I was running around loose on top of a mountain in the Christiansburg, Virginia area. Animal Control picked me up and took me to the Montgomery County  pound. The people at the pound said I was about six months old and a Chihuahua/Terrier mix. They were good to me but being locked in a cage at the pound was still an awful time. Later that day a young man came to see me. He wanted to take me home but I had to stay at the pound for seven days. He put his name on my card and said if no one came to get me he wanted to adopt me. He named me Cindy and came every day to see me and play with me. Then on January 04, 1988, which happened to be his 21st. birthday, the man took me home. We lived about one

mile from the  pound for four years while he went to college in Blacksburg. There we did all kinds of things like exploring caves and float trips on the New River. I went everywhere with him. After he graduated from college we moved to Richmond, Virginia. That is where I met Casey, Jake, and most of the other dogs on this website. I have always loved people, cats, dogs, and get along great with all of them. I am getting old now but I still love to play and go places with my master. As of January 04, 2003 we will have been together for 15 years.

There are many more dogs and cats in pounds and shelters that would love to have nice homes like I have and would be a wonderful, loyal companion for you. If you want a nice pet please visit these facilities and help save an innocent life.

Your friend,
                   Cindy

After over 16 years as a faithful companion Cindy crossed the Rainbow Bridge on the morning of April 17, 2004. She seemed to have suffered a massive hart attack in the dining room where she lived with her friend Muffin. Cindy will be forever missed and remembered.
