Concrete Color Charts

The following colors represent a nice cross section of what Cast In Stone Creations can offer.  However, the real limitation on color choices comes from your imagination.  By combining colorants your choices are practically limitless. Do keep in mind that variations in colors may occur due to your screen resolution and other factors.

Patinaetch

Patinaetch, by Smart Surface Technology, Inc. is a concrete acid stain producing natural variegated earth tones when applied to concrete, similar to the oxidation of a copper roof, or the patina of a bronzed sculpture. These acid stains react with the free lime in the cement matrix, highlighting irregularities on the surface rather than covering them up, as in the case of paint. The variegations are not defects, but the reason for selecting this method of coloring.

Redi-Tone Stains

Redi-Tone concrete stains, by Southern Color N.A., Inc, form a chemical reaction with minerals in concrete or other cementitious products. Made of acid solutions, wetting agents and metallic chlorides, the stain, when in contact with cement, forms oxides of rich, varying hues and tones.  Because the stain colors result from a chemical reaction with the minerals in the concrete the stains will not chip, fade, peel or crack.

Colorfast

Colorfast, by Smart Surface Technology, is a ready to use, finely ground blend of synthetic iron oxide pigments and ad-mixtures designed for coloring cement / concrete materials and toppings. It is used as an integral ad-mixture for permanently coloring concrete countertops. The dye is mixed with the cement, sand and aggregate at the time the concrete is poured, and produces a solid color throughout the depth and width of the finished countertop.
