Storage Lid Prop

On my 1987 C22, a 33" long by 5/8" diameter dowel makes a great prop for holding the hinged hatch open while storing or retrieving items in the starboard storage compartment.

The prop is not physically connected to the boat, but instead takes advantage of a lip built into the seat.  When not in use, the prop just lies down inside the compartment.
