Beltane, 2001
As you can see, it was a perfect day for a Beltane party. Literally
not a cloud in the sky!
A less perfect but more fun Maypole this year,
I think. And after all, how would we
handle as perfect a year as last year all over again? Thanks to
Scott for the pictures on this page!
Our little band played and sang (and took the
occasional break) whilst the ribbons
went 'round.
Following a fierce competition of oral prowess and flexibility,
the May Queen and
King, Amy (her first time as a May Royal) and John (his second
time),
were selected from the masses and forced to wear silly
hats for the rest of the day. Lucky them!
