Roundup was the newspaper of the China-Burma-India (CBI) Theater of World War II.

It was published weekly by the U.S. Army Forces in the CBI Theater and was the first Armed Forces newspaper published overseas.

The idea for a theater newspaper came from Captain Fred Eldridge, a reporter from the Los Angeles Times who was serving in CBI as public affairs officer on the staff of theater commander Lt. Gen. Joseph W. Stilwell.  With the general's approval, the idea made it to newsprint on September 17, 1942 with the publication of the first Roundup.

Over the next 3½ years a total of 188 issues of Roundup were published, culminating with The Last Roundup, on April 11, 1946.  The paper contained news unique to the CBI Theater as well as news from other theaters and the home front, and sports stories and scores.  Many of the stories were written by CBI soldier-correspondents.
