Vertical Oscillating Steam Engine

This is the same kit as the Purple Oscillator engine, just finished in a different color scheme.

  

This is also a PM Research casting kit, the same as the Purple Passion. I deviated a little from the kit by using socket head screws instead of the slotted head screws provided. I think they look a little more like true machinery. I also tend to throw away the CRS crankshafts provided and use drill rod due to its being much smoother running in soft aluminum. As usual, the finish is all powder coated. I rarely use standard paints.  After a bit of run-in, I found this engine to be running at 2000 RPM on 10 PSI of compressed air.
