WHO WE ARE

Calvary Christian Fellowship of Lansing is a non-denominational church that focuses on thru-the-Bible teaching of God's word. We are a casual, come-as-you-are group of believers united in our love of Christ. We are an affiliate church of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, pastored by Chuck Smith. Chuck Smith founded Calvary Chapel in the late 60's during a time when most traditional churches were turning away the next generation because of their looks and the counter-culture lifestyle they practiced. Driven by a burden for that generation, Chuck reached out to them with love and understanding and without compromise of Christian principles. A result of this outreach was the birth of the "Jesus Movement."

Today, with affiliate churches all over the country and the world, Calvary Chapels are still reaching out to the lost with love and compassion. They are best known for their strong emphasis on the teaching of God's Word and the application of that Word to everyday life. High importance is also placed upon worship through contemporary music, designed to draw the believers to a place of intimate communion with God and to ready their hearts for His Word.

In 2004 The Lord placed on Jim's heart a desire to leave Tallahassee Florida and move to the Lansing area to begin a new work. So Jim, Cheryl, Jimmy, and Sarah set out to begin Calvary Christian Fellowship of Lansing and we invite you to be a part of our growing church family.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

Calvary Christian Fellowship of Lansing has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ whose supreme desire is to know Christ intimately and to be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit through the study of God's word.
