The first tournament of the year will be Sunday, April 25. The format will be individual stroke play, with a morning start. The deadline for registration is Friday, March 27. Late registrations will not be accepted. Phone registration guaranteed by credit card will be allowed, as well as walk in registration.
A change for this year: the registration deadlines will be two Fridays prior to the Saturday or Sunday tournament (8-9 days in advance). Please plan accordingly! This change will guarantee the availability of tee times.
Beginning March 13, all scores must be posted in the handicap computer.
Reminder: You must sign up for the May 2 tournament to be entered in the individual match play.
Format: Each team will consist of two players-pick your own partner of any handicap, or one will be assigned for you. There will be no flights. May 9 will be the qualifying round; the top 32 teams will advance to the match play rounds, which will be similar in format to the individual match play tournament.
The qualifying round will be played as a best ball, with each team member playing their own ball, and applying their current club handicap. The low 32 net scores will advance to the match play rounds, which will be held over a 10-week period. The match play pairings will be played as team best ball (the lowest score per hole for team A is compared to the lowest score of team B), including handicaps.
Cost per team is $20. As this is an additional tournament, we have to charge an entry fee in order to cover costs and prizes. This is a great format and we are looking for a strong turnout!
