Blood of the Lamb
Rev 12:11  And they overcame him (satan) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

There are three things mentioned here that is required of an overcomer.
1. The blood of the Lamb.
2. The word of their testimony.
3. Loved not their own lives unto death.
I would like to minister on these, one at a time, in maybe three lessons.

In many, contemporary, churches of this generation the blood is being taken out of the ministry. To these the blood is no longer necessary and should be removed from songs and their ministry. This is very dangerous and I personally would not make one of these my church home. The blood of Jesus is absolutely necessary to cleanse of sin.

Heb 9:22  And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. Jesus fulfilled the law with His own blood. If the blood is not applied through faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work we are still in our sins.

John 6:53-56  Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
Rom 3:25  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Eating and drinking is an every day activity, not a one time thing. We should be reading the word, praying and walking with the Lord, daily. If we are doing this we are dwelling in Christ and Him in us. The blood is for the cleansing of all sin that is past and is not a liberty to continue in sin. If we sin after we receive Christ we must confess and repent to be forgiven. God didn't redeem us because of our works but rather because of our faith in Jesus Christ.

Acts 20:28  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Rom 5:9  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Eph 1:7  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Eph 2:13  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

The church, those who are in Christ, have been redeemed, purchased, by the blood of Christ. All ministries should treat those as brothers and sisters in the Lord and not lording it over them as one above them. We are justified by the Blood of Christ so His wrath will not come upon us. We were brought nigh to God by the blood of Christ and by this alone.

Col 1:20  And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

The blood of Christ has purchased our peace with God.

Heb 9:12  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

The blood of Christ has purchased our eternal redemption.

Heb 9:14  How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

The blood of Christ has purged our conscience to leave dead works alone and serve the living God in the beauty of true holiness.

Heb 10:19  Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

It is by the Blood of Christ that we can come boldly to the throne of God and know we are welcome.

Heb 13:20-21  Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Through the blood of Christ we are being perfected in every good work so we can do the will of God. "There is power, wonder working power, in the blood."

1 John 1:7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

The on going work of the blood of Christ is to cleanse us of all sin as we walk in the light with Christ.

Seeing this is true why would anyone, who is serious about Jesus Christ, not want the blood of Christ applied to every area of his or her life.  Without His blood no one will be saved. Thank God for the blood of Christ!

Next I plan to teach on “The word of their testimony.”
