Eph
5:3-10 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it
not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither
filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient:
but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no
whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater,
hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man
deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the
wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore
partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are
ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the
Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is
acceptable unto the Lord.
Beloved, my heart
grieves as I write this message. People all over the world are being
told that once you have made a profession of faith nothing you can do
will cause you to miss heaven. This is not Bible doctrine. I urge
everyone to read the Bible for yourselves and see what it has to say
about this as well as everything else. Listen to all the scripture not
just the part you like.
The above
scriptures list things that if you continue to do, will not inherit the
kingdom of Christ and of God. For instance, if you are committing
fornication, repent and stop or you will not inherit the kingdom of
Christ! This is true of all the sins listed above. Those who tell you
that you can continue and still go to heaven are just giving you vain
words and are deceiving you. They are giving you the wisdom of the
world and not the wisdom of God. If we continue to do these sins all we
have to look forward to is the wrath of God.
1. Fornication. - Sexual relations with someone to whom you are not married. 2. Uncleanness. - Walking in the lust of the flesh. (Gal 5:19-21) Please read it. 3. Covetousness. - Lusting for something or someone belonging to another. 4. Filthiness. - Obscenity, indecency. 5. Foolish talking. - Sinful, silly and corrupt talking. 6.
Jesting.
- Coarse jokes. (We would call them dirty jokes.) 7. Whoremonger. - Paying for sex. (This is just a thumbnail sketch of the above words. Look them up in a Bible dictionary for a more complete explanation.)
If you are doing
any of the above sins you must repent, ask for forgiveness and stop
doing them, with our Lord's help. Why, because if you continue in them
you will not make it to heaven. 1
John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son
cleanseth us from all sin. We cannot walk in the light with the
Lord while doing these and other sins. Walking in the light is walking
in the truth of God's Word. His Word says that if you continue in these
sins you will not inherit the kingdom of Christ and of God.
We, who are born
again, were all doing some of the above things, before coming to
Christ. We were not made new sinners, we were that before. Now we are
called saints and children of God. Then we were dead but now we are
made alive in Jesus Christ. We were darkness but now we are light. Now
we are commanded to walk as children of light. In other words, walk
according to the Word of God. We are commanded to stop being doers of
the old ways listed above. Those are not life they are death. We do not
want to be in the number described below. Are we servants of corruption
or Christ?

Pet 2:19-22 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the
servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is
he brought in bondage. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of
the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse
with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to
have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to
turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened
unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own
vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
Lord
God Almighty, help us to walk in the light with You and stop doing the
things that bring death to us. We have found what we wanted in You and
do not want to return to the old life we led before. Thank You for
forgiveness, grace and mercy. Guide us into all truth. May Your will be
done in and through us. We ask in the mighty name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.
