Your opinion counts (to me!!!!)

Here is the deal, my Doctor tells me I have 2 herniated discs in my neck, they have damaged a nerve and are irritating others. It is causing a significant amount of pain and discomfort. The medication does help however, and I am going to see a pain specialist, and research my options as well. The Dr. says I could have corrective surgery but it is not guaranteed that it wont happen again (we have no idea what happened to cause these herniated discs) my question is this. Do you think I should have surgery or no? (bear in mind I am doing my homework on this before I make up my mind )

Uncle Herb has undergone an emergency operation and is recovering nicely please keep him in your prayers! 

Uncle Herb Bishop has been hospitalized, no further details at this time, please pray for him and his family!!!
